Safety Related Items
- Helmets - We carry helmets by Specialized. All
their helmets are independently tested by the SNELL Memorial
Foundation or TNO Certification BV. They pass the the following
standards:CPSC, SNELL B-90, B-90C, B95, CE, EN1078(european),AS/NZS
2063(Australia, New zeealand). These are well tested helmets. They
are also good looking, comfortable and worn by many professional
cycling teams.
- Locks - Having something stolen is a bummer. We
have all types of locks to keep you from being seperated from your
bike. Whether you need a basic set your own combo lock to run into
the convenient store, or you have to lock it all day while at work
or school, we have the lock you need.
- Gloves - Yes gloves are a safety item. Anytime
you think you are in danger, putting your hands out is the first
line of defense. Gloves also help with any numbness you may have
from riding. This is the main function of your gloves. We carry a
varaity of gloves to choose from.
- Shorts - Safety? Well maybe not, but they
protect you from discomfort. Bicycling shorts are worn as an
additional layer of skin (no underwear). The idea is that they
stick to you and the movement will be between the shorts and saddle
and chaffing will be prevented. We also recommend a chamois lube
for greater comfort.
- Hydration - This is important for your health as
well as enjoyment while bicycling. We can help with everything from
basic waterbottles and cages to backpack hydration
systems.
- Lights - We have a large selection of lights to
make you visable or to light up the trail on a moonless night.
Florida law requires a front light, a taillight and a rear
reflector to ride on the road after sunset. We carry these as well
as reflective tape and vests.

The Fun Stuff
- Computers - These are great for motivation and
as training tools to improve your cycle performance. We have basic
computers that give you speed and distance or advanced computers
that read heartrate, elevation, cadence or anything else you can
dream up.
- Jerseys - Jerseys are about more than looking
good. They start with a technical fabric that wicks the perperation
to the outside layer. As the perperastion is evaporated it cools
you. In the winter, this wicking keeps you drier and reduces the
chance of hypothermia. The jerseys are also cut for your riding
position to be more comfortable and have a long tail to cover the
gap when you are bent over. We have jerseys for road, mountian and
recumbent riders.
- Pumps - Everyone needs two pumps. You should
have a floor pump in the garage and one to carry with you when you
venture farther than you wish to walk home. Along with pumps, we
have a large selection of co2 inflators and everything you need to
fix a flat tire.
- Car Racks - After you have checked out
everything around home, you will want to find some sweet rides in
other areas. We have racks in stock to fit most cars. Whether you
just need to carry one bike or a bunch, we can outfit you for an
adventure. Let us explain the advantages of the many different
types of racks for you car.
- Tools - Bicycles are transportation vehicles and
do need service and adjustment. Whetheryou just want basic allen
wrenches for adjusting seats and handlebars, or you wish to have
your own service area that rivals ours, we can fix you
up.
- Shoes & Pedals - These are not just for
professional racers. We also stock shoes and pedals for the casual
bicyclist and commuter. Shoe not only increase performance, they
also increase comfort, making bicycling more fun so you will want
to go out more often and try greater distances.
